Tipi Pole Details
Pole Shipping - Tipi (teepee) poles will generally be shipped from our Montana pole yard by freight truck. We do carry a small supply of poles at our Colorado shop for folks within driving distance from us. Tipi (teepee) poles over 27' long require an upgraded freight truck which increases shipping costs and travel time. Call 800.288.3190 to get a shipping estimate on any of our products.
Best Value Poles - These are the poles that we include with the Complete Tipi Value Package. These poles are machine peeled, fewer in quantity or shorter in length than the Authentic Hand Peeled poles. A good choice for those who are cost conscious or will be transporting the tipi (teepee) frequently. The machine peeled poles will be smoother and slightly smaller in diameter than the Authentic Hand Peeled poles. The "stubbies" are shorter, stout machine peeled poles used in the larger tipis (teepees) to keep the shipping costs down. The "stubbies" won't ascend above the tipi (teepee) as far as the others but their performance and function are the same.

Authentic Hand Peeled Poles - These poles are hand peeled and true to the nature of the Native American peeling style. They are a good choice if you want an authentic lodge or if you will leave your tipi (teepee) up year `round in a high wind or snow environment. They will be slightly thicker in diameter than the machine peeled poles. Best Value Poles are sold with our Complete Tipi Value Packages, so make sure to upgrade if you'd prefer Hand Peeled.
