What kind of platform or deck does my yurt require?

Your yurt is designed to be built on a circular, raised deck (the same diameter as your yurt.) The deck will need a flexible bender board attached around the outside and extending a few inches above the deck floor. If your landscape is fairly level, a concrete circular deck is also an option.

You may choose to only use the deck as your yurt base, but many of our customers place their yurt onto an oversized deck. This allows for an extended space for outdoor living and easier access to the roll-up window flaps.
