Your Tent Will Arrive with Instructions
The process isn't complicated, but the details matter. Measure correctly, secure every connection, and read all instructions carefully before you start.
Instructions Included
Your tent will arrive with a complete set of pitching instructions. If you misplace them, the official Platform Tent Pitching Guide is available for download below.
A Manageable Project
Platform tents can typically be pitched by a small group in a day or less when the deck is ready and your tools are on site.
Pitch It Correctly
Platform tents are not engineered for snow loads. Install according to our instructions and use the proper hardware at every attachment point to minimize fabric movement.
Mind the Wind
Excessive fabric movement — or “wind whip” — wears the cover and can deform the framework. Properly stretching and securing the cover protects your investment.
Pitch It Correctly
Platform tents have wind-load limits and are not engineered for snow. The fabric cover should be stretched and attached with the proper hardware at every provided point to minimize fabric movement. Excessive movement wears the fabric and can warp the framework.
Anchoring & Storage
- Confirm the deck is built to spec and level before pitching day.
- Leaving the tent unattended? Make sure it is properly anchored and battened down.
- For long absences or off-season storage, consider taking the tent down.
- Always store the cover completely dry, in a ventilated area, away from rodents.
